Our focus this year is on children and young people. We very much look forward to introducing you to members of West Horsley Youth Council and hearing about their recent community engagement projects and their exciting plans over the coming months. 

We are also delighted to welcome Michael Spence, Education Manager for Surrey Fire & Rescue Service. Mr Spence will be giving an overview of the Service's education programme for children and young people, including fire, water and road safety.

There will of course be a report from the Chairman of West Horsley Parish Council, and an opportunity for residents to speak to the meeting on any matters of local interest. After we invite you to stay for refreshments.

Please join us for The Annual Parish Meeting of West Horsley 2023.

This is a meeting for the Parish, it is NOT a Parish Council meeting.

We have an exciting 'Safety' theme running this year, with a guest speaker from the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, and a series of defibrillator talks and demonstrations taking place in the Cedar Room in the hour before the meeting.

 6-7pm 'Why, When, Where and How to Use a Defibrillator' (Cedar Room)

• Short talks/demos at 6pm, 6.15pm and 6.30pm

7pm    The Annual Parish Meeting of West Horsley (Main Hall)

Annual Parish Meeting is a legacy from the Middle Ages, when Local Councils did not exist, and all local decision making was carried out by meetings of the whole community, taking place in the church vestry.
