The Horsley Medical Practice

Latest News

Flu and Covid Autumn vaccination campaign starts on 1st October 2026. If you are eligible, please go online or phone the surgery to book an appointment. We are running our annual Flu Saturday on 3rd October 2026.

If you have attended the surgery over the last few weeks, you will notice a lot of building work going on. Hopefully when this goes to print it will all be over and we will have a brand-new consulting room to allow us to run more GP surgeries and other clinics. All admin staff have now moved upstairs. We also have a new smaller kitchen and meeting room upstairs which completes the restructure.

In July the Nurses and HCA’s who work at the Leg Club in the Village Hall on a Thursday were honoured with the prestigious ‘Silver Chief Nursing Officer Award’. The award states ‘The team has delivered outstanding impact by transforming a high demand area of care into an efficient, evidence based and patient centred model. Their work has improved clinical outcomes, enhanced patient experience and reduced system pressure while demonstrating innovation, leadership and a commitment to going above and beyond’. We are extremely proud of them and everything we have achieved with this initiative.

Another new initiative we will be starting is Community Connectors. This will involve trusted members of the community who notices when someone may need a little extra support and helps them find the right local services or activities. They do not provide advice, counselling or care they simply help people find the support that is already available. More information to follow.
