East Horsley Village Hall
A Meeting for Residents of Clandon, Effingham, Horsley and Ockham Villages
Many of you will be aware that over recent months there has been a rise in anti-social behaviour across Clandon, Effingham, Horsley and Ockham villages. In response to this, Borough Councillor Catherine Young has been working closely with GBC’s Community Safety Team, SCC’s Countryside Team and Surrey Police to identify local hot spots and to devise an action plan for reducing this anti-social activity.
The aims of this Community Safety Forum are:
- to raise awareness of the work the Safer Guildford Partnership is doing to reduce anti-social and criminal behaviour across our villages;
- to stress the importance of reporting any/all suspicious behaviour, damage or concerns and to give residents guidance on how best to do this; and
- to provide residents with an opportunity to share their experiences and concerns directly with key stakeholders, and to discuss any improvement ideas they may have for keeping our communities safe.
The meeting will be introduced by Guildford Borough Councillor Catherine Young and chaired by Samantha Hutchinson, Assistant Director of Community Services, GBC. The panel will also include: Zoe Franklin MP; Blaine Rafferty, Borough Commander, Surrey Police; Claire Upton-Brown, Assistant Director of Planning Development, GBC; and GBC & SCC senior officers.
This is a FREE event for residents of West Horsley, East Horsley, Effingham, Ockham, East Clandon and West Clandon.
