Road Closures/works: Junction 10 M25/A3 w/c Monday 15 September

 Update from National Highways/Balfour Beatty:

Four night closures, Monday 15 to Thursday 18 September 2025:

The inside two lanes on the eastbound (anticlockwise) M25 will be closed for four nights around junction 10 from 10pm to 5.30am each night.

Three night closures, Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 September 2025:

• The inside lane of the Painshill roundabout will be closed for three nights from 10pm to 5.30am each night
• The outside two lanes on the northbound A3 will be closed for three nights between the Ockham roundabout and the M25 junction 10 from 10pm to 5.30am each night
• The southbound A3 will be closed for three nights between the M25 junction 10 and the A247 at Send from 10pm to 5.30am each night. Diversions:Southbound A3 main diversion: via eastbound (anticlockwise) M25 to junction 9, A243, A246, A247 to rejoin the southbound A3 Southbound A3 non-motorway diversion: via northbound A3, A245, A307, A309, A243, A246, A247 to rejoin the southbound A3. 

The following full closures will be in place for two non-consecutive nights from 10pm Thursday 18 September to 5.30am Friday 19 September and

AND

10pm Sunday 21 September to 5.30am Monday 22 September:

• Painshill roundabout
• Northbound A3 exit slip road at Painshill
• Southbound A3 exit slip road at Painshill
• A245 in both directions between Seven Hills Road and Sainsbury’s Roundabout (Bridgewater, Cobham)

 Diversions:

A3 northbound exit: Continue northbound on the A3 to the Esher roundabout and join the A244 towards Esher:

• For the A245 towards Cobham, travel via the southbound A307. Diversion map link.
• For the A245 towards Brooklands, continue on A244 westbound to Queens Road, then join the B365 Seven Hills Road. Diversion map link.

A3 southbound exit: Continue south on A3 to the M25 junction 10, then return on the northbound A3 to Esher roundabout:

• For the A245 towards Cobham, travel via the southbound A307. Diversion map link.
• For the A245 towards Brooklands, continue on A244 westbound to Queens Road, then join the B365 Seven Hills Road. Diversion map link.

A245 eastbound: Travel north on the B365 Seven Hills Road, then continue east on the A317 then the A244 to Esher:

• For A245 Cobham, travel via the southbound A307. Diversion map link.
• For A3 in either direction, travel via the A244 to the Esher roundabout and rejoin the A3 as required. Diversion map link.

A245 westbound: Travel north on the A307 to Esher.

• For A3 in either direction, travel via the A244 to Esher roundabout and rejoin the A3 as required. Diversion map link.
• For the A245 towards Brooklands, continue on the A244 westbound to Queens Road and them join the B365 Seven Hills Road.

 Extended hours closures - Friday 19 September and Saturday 20 September from 9pm to 9am:

• The southbound A3 will be closed from Painshill roundabout to M25 junction 10. The closure will include the A3 entry slip roads at Painshill.
• The northbound A3 will be closed from B2215 Send Interchange to A3 Painshill Interchange. The closure will include the Northbound A3 entry slip roads at Ockham/Ripley and M25 Junction 10

Travelling on the southbound A3

• Route via the Hook interchange: the closure will be signed from the Hook interchange so people can join the diversion earlier via the A243 to M25 Junction 9 to rejoin the M25. Non motorway traffic will continue south on A24, A246, and the A247 to rejoin the southbound A3 at the B2215 (Send). Diversion map link.
• Route via Painshill interchange: via the eastbound A245 at Painshill, then via the A307, A309, to join the above route Diversion map link.
• Route to join the westbound (clockwise) M25: via the westbound A245 at Painshill, the follow the A320 to join the westbound (clockwise) M25 at junction 11. Diversion map link.

Travelling on the Northbound A3

• Northbound A3 to M25 main diversion: via B2215, A247, A246, A24, A243 join M25 both directions at junction 9. Diversion map link.
• Non-motorway and A3 northbound traffic: Non-motorway traffic and northbound A3 traffic to continue from the M25 junction 9 on the A243, A309, A307, A245 to rejoin the northbound A3 at the Painshill junction.
